We are the Fords – Lani, Peter, Rachel, and Summer. It has always been Peter’s dream to travel with the kids and show them (& us!) lots of the cool things that our country has to offer. The girls used to call it “Dad’s Plan” with much eye-rolling and tongue sticking-outing. Now, they call it “Our Trip”.
Summer & Rachel are ten year old twins in 5th Grade at a great school called SunFlower in Gulfport, FL near where we live in St. Petersburg. The school embraces our lifestyle -leaving early to spend the summers in NH and then coming back in September – weeks after school has begun. Our friends at SunFlower totally supported the idea of this cross-country trip and we look forward to them checking in with us often.
Our terriers, Rufus & Daisy, thoroughly enjoy traveling and are a huge part of our family. Daisy wears the pink collar, Rufus wears the blue. (yes, totally predictable)

Hi Jayme – so glad you are enjoying it. Most of the pics were taken on my cell or the girls’ videocamera… sorry for the poor quality! I need to remember to use Peter’s nice camera… We do have an iPad that the girls can use. I know they’d love to IM or Facetime or whatever it is the kids are doing these days…

Hi Kathy! We are heading back to Florida in early January… the girls really miss their friends & I miss the warm weather! We’ve seen enough snow to last me a long, long time. Yes, I do believe you are the one we have to thank for the wedding… you or was it Suki Teriyaki? Maybe we can bring our adventures to NJ next year on our way up to NH. How big is your driveway?!
